Vintage Inspired Retro Keychains – An Accessory with Nostalgic Charm

How fun are these vintage inspired retro keychains. They remind me of the 60’s. I’m showing my age here. I was just a little kid then, but I remember these types of keychains for motel rooms. These are so fun and have a classic vibe.

Step 1

This is a pretty basic project, but I still wanted to share it with you. I have uploaded the file to the Resource Library.

Open the file in Cricut Design Space and cut out the keychain designs using the adhesive vinyl on the standard grip mat. Use a brayer to adhere the vinyl to the mat.

Step 2

I find it easier to weed vinyl when I keep it on the mat. So weed your vinyl and cut a piece of transfer tape and apply it to the vinyl. Burnish both front and back sides well.

Step 3

Transfer the vinyl to the keychain.

Here’s a short video on how I made one of the keychains.
