Since July 4th is tomorrow, I wanted to do a post on how to make faux leather earrings with the Cricut. These earrings are super easy to make using designs in Cricut Design Space. I just did a search for earrings and found both of these right away.

Supplies Used To Make This Project
- Cricut Maker , Cricut Explore or Joy Machine
- Cricut Tools
- Strong Grip Mat (Purple Mat)
- Strong Grip Transfer Tape
- Faux Leather
- Painters Tape
- Earring Making Kit
- Jewelry Making Tools
- Jump Rings
I wanted to include a picture of what the earring designs look like. I changed the colors to match the colors I used to make it easier when cutting out the designs on my Cricut Maker. Here is the link to the file I created.
Here are the patriotic Faux Leather pieces I used.
I used my Cricut Maker to cut these earrings out, but you could certainly use an Cricut Explore or a Joy machine.
Using the Strong Grip Mat (Purple Mat), place your piece of faux leather on the mat and tape all four sides with painters tape. The only reason mine is taped to the right side of my mat is because I have used this mat a lot, and that’s where the stickier part is.
Cut out your earrings using the Faux Leather (Paper Thin) setting for the base material. Then I use the “More” setting under the “Pressure” setting. It usually takes me 2-5 cuts before the Faux Leather cuts all the way through.
Putting The Earrings Together
This Earring Making Kit is the one I used for the earring hooks on my earrings. When putting the earrings together, I inserted the Jump Rings through the hole in the top of the earrings and then attached my earring hooks using the Jewelry Making Tools.
The Finished Faux Leather Earrings
So now that you know how to make faux leather earrings with the Cricut, what are you waiting for!!! You can make all kinds of holiday or every day earrings now.
Until next time.

These are adorable. I am wondering if I need to purchase a license to sell my finished product. I have a small online shop, and want to be sure I dont violate any licensing rules.
Hi Corinna,
Thank you so much for asking. You do not need to purchase a license to make and sell these.
