Mother’s Day Gift Idea – Make It With Your Cricut
Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and will be here before we know it. A Mother’s Day gift idea made with the Cricut is the perfect present. Whether you have a mom, are a mom, are a stepmom or grandmother, this shadowbox would work for all of them. My mother is no longer with us, however, I still want to do a blog post with this idea.
What You Will Need
It’s fairly simple to make this Mother’s Day gift with the Cricut.
You can purchase this wooden shadow box at Hobby Lobby. The dimensions are 7″ x 7″ x 3-3/8″.

The green cardstock is from Cricut and the yellow and purple cardstock is from Michael’s. The white vinyl is from my stash and it’s also from Cricut.
The cut size for the flowers is 5″ wide x 4.618″ in height. The M and Mom are attached. Once attached the final size is 4.496″ wide x 4.042″ in height.
So as a result, you can get two flowers on an 8.5″ x 11″ piece of cardstock, and four flowers from a 12″ x 12″ piece of cardstock.
These designs can be found in Design Space. The flowers are from the Flower Shoppe image set.
The Cricut tool shown below is a quilling tool. It’s one of the craft tool sets and can be purchased from Cricut. In addition, any craft store that carries Cricut products will have it too.
Here’s what the flowers look like after being rolled with the quilling tool.
Isn’t this pretty! You have tons of cardstock and vinyl colors to choose from and the sky’s the limit.
If you have any questions or need help with this project, leave me a comment below.
Until next time.

P.S. Here’s another fun idea for a Mother’s Day gift, Infusible Ink coasters.
