So, I got out my glitter, my Cricut Joy, some wine glasses and some vinyl and got busy. I want to help you learn how to make these glitter wine glasses with your Cricut.

Making The Glitter Wine Glasses

Here is a link to the instructional video.

DIY Glitter Wine Glasses

Start out by taping two rolls of Electrical Tape together to get the right height to mark the wine glass. Tape a dry erase marker to the top of of the electrical tape rolls.

Use the dry erase marker to draw a circle around the glass by twirling the glass in a circle with the marker touching the glass.

Then you are going to put a piece of electrical tape around the glass right above the line you’ve drawn.

Use your finger to go around the glass to erase the line you drew. It will come right off.

Using a sponge brush to cover the bottom portion of the glass, below the tape, with the Diswhaser Safe Mod Podge. Next you will cover the Diswhaser Safe Mod Podge with a layer of fine Glitter.

Let dry at least four to six hours and repeat two more times, covering the glitter with another coat of Diswhaser Safe Mod Podge and fine Glitter. Be sure to brush off the excess glitter, with the third sponge brush, before adding the additional layers of Diswhaser Safe Mod Podge and fine Glitter.

I used the two small plastic cups to pour some of the Diswhaser Safe Mod Podge into for each wine glass so I didn’t contaminate the original bottle of Diswhaser Safe Mod Podge with either color of Glitter.

Next, add a top coat of the Diswhaser Safe Mod Podge over the glitter to seal it. Let that dry overnight.

The Final Steps

Cut out your design on your Cricut. Weed the design with the Pin Pen. Place a piece of Transfer Tape on top of your weeded design and burnish well to transfer the design to the Transfer Tape.

Before adding your design to the wine glass, remove the electrical tape and wipe the glass down with an alcohol wipe to remove any finger prints, excess glitter or debris. Transfer your design to the wine glass, burnish and remove the Transfer Tape.
