How To Decorate a 40 oz. Tumbler Tag With Glitter

Decorating a 40 oz tumbler tag with glitter can be a fun and creative project! The video also shows how to make sublimation tumbler tags. The description of the video has all the links for the sublimation tags.

Here’s a step-by-step guide:

Before diving into the crafting process, make sure you have all the necessary materials on hand.

Materials Needed:

Steps:

  1. Prep the Tag: Clean the surface of the tumbler tag to ensure it’s free from dust and oils. Wipe it down with rubbing alcohol and let it dry completely.
  2. Apply Adhesive: Using a paintbrush or sponge applicator, apply a thin, even layer of Mod Podge to the area where you want the glitter. Work in sections if needed to avoid the adhesive drying too quickly.
  3. Sprinkle Glitter: Generously sprinkle glitter over the Mod Lodge. Shake off the excess glitter, making sure it sticks evenly to the surface.
  4. Let it Dry: Allow the glitter and Mod Lodge to dry completely. This might take a few hours.
  5. Seal the Glitter: Once dry, apply a thin layer of Mod Podge over the glitter. This helps to prevent the glitter from shedding and ensures durability.
  6. Finishing Touches: Check for any loose glitter and reapply Mod Podge and glitter where needed. Let everything dry for 24 hours for a sturdy finish. Add a thin layer of the UV resin. Use the butane torch to get rid of any bubbles in the resin before putting it under the UV light. Put it under the UV light for approximately 3-5 minutes to harden the resin.

Now you’ll have a beautiful, sparkly tumbler tag! You can also experiment with different colors of glitter or even mix glitter with other decorative elements like rhinestones or vinyl stickers.

I hope you make some of these if you have a 40 oz tumbler. You can also get the blank tags for a 30 oz tumbler.

Until next time.
