1. Valentine’s Cake Topper
A cake topper is an easy way to transform a simple cake into a festive centerpiece. For this project, I used my Cricut to cut out layers of cardstock in classic Valentine’s colors—red, silver and white with a black XOXO. This was super easy to make just using shapes from Cricut Design Space. I made two layers of each color except the silver glitter cardstock on the back layer. I used adhesive squares to give this cake topper dimension and a 3D effect. This topper is perfect for a romantic celebration. I used a cake stick for insertion in a cake.
2. Cherry Cake Topper
If you’re looking for something a little different, this cherry-themed cake topper is a fun twist on traditional Valentine’s décor. I combined layers of red, gold foil, gold glitter, pink and white cardstock,. There are two layers of each color of cardstock, except for the stem. Once again, I used adhesive squares to give this cake dimension, as well as a 3D effect. I got the cherry design from Cricut Design Space. I used a cake stick for insertion in a cake.
3. Valentine’s Day Tumbler
A custom tumbler makes a great Valentine’s gift. I got this sublimation design from my favorite place to download designs. Here is the link to it – https://bit.ly/3WG7ETg. I love the fun colors and the simplicity of the design. This tumbler would make a great gift for a loved one, a teacher, or a best friend.
4. Cherry “Love You” Card
Handmade cards always feel extra special, and this cherry-themed “Love You” card is no exception! I designed it with a layered cherry cutout, elegant lettering, and a heart-shaped accent for a perfect balance of sweet and romantic. I just used the same design from the cherry cake topper above and made it smaller. I only cut out one layer because layering it would have made it too bulky to mail. You will see the Cherry Love You card in my video tutorial.
Final Thoughts
Each of these projects is a great way to show some love this Valentine’s Day! Whether you’re making them for a special someone, a party, or even as gifts to sell, your Cricut makes it easy to bring creative ideas to life.
