DIY Valentine Wine Glasses With The Cricut

So, Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, love is in the air and I’m in the mood to make some DIY Valentine wine glasses with the Cricut. I’m single so I don’t have anyone to celebrate with except my cats lol!! I do wish I had someone to celebrate with so I could decorate a beautiful table, but I guess I could still do that for myself.

That doesn’t stop me from making some pretty wine glasses, and other fun decorations for the occasion though.

Making The Wine Glasses

I cut these two designs out with my Cricut Joy. The Cricut Joy is such a great little machine for projects like these.

I precut my vinyl into a 3″x6″ piece before placing it on the cutting mat.

After the designs were cut out by the Cricut Joy I cut them apart with a pair of scissors, so I had two separate pieces. I then cut two separate pieces of Transfer Tape which I placed on top of each design.

Before removing the backing from the vinyl, I cut into the the backing and transfer tape all around the edges so it would be easier to make the vinyl lay flat on the Wine Glasses, since they are a rounded surface.

In addition, before adding the Red Adhesive Foil / Transfer Tape to the Wine Glasses, I wiped the outside of the glasses down with the alcohol wipes, to clean the surface of any finger prints or lint.

To keep the glass steady and in the right position so I could apply the vinyl straight, I stuck a bottle of Glossy Accents (you can use anything that will fit inside the glass) inside which kept the glass in the perfect position for application.

The Finished Wine Glasses

Here’s how they came out. I love them so much.

I’m going to try to sell these with the Valentine Gift Card Holder Vase, as a set, in one of the local Facebook selling groups I belong to.

If you end up making some of these DIY Valentine wine glasses with the Cricut, I would love it if you would share them in my Facebook community, so I can them.

Until next time.
