DIY Ice Cream Cone Keychains With the Cricut

Ok, so August is a little more than half way over. September is going to be here in the blink of an eye, and I’m getting super excited for fall. But since it’s officially still summer, who wants to make these cute DIY ice cream cone keychains with the Cricut.

I saw these ice cream cone keychains on Amy Romeu’s website, and I thought it would be fun to make some of my own.

You can get the cut file for these ice cream cones from my Free Resource Library at the bottom of this post.

Supplies Needed

Project Instructions

Place faux leather face down on the purple Strong Grip Mat. Place painters tape around the edges to secure it.

Be sure to mirror the designs before cutting.

Cut using the Fine Point Blade. Use the Faux Leather (Paper Thin) setting. You will probably have to cut it more than once. Don’t unload the mat when it’s finished cutting. Just press the “cut” button again.

Place the light gold foil iron on face down on the mat. You can use the green Standard Grip Mat, but I just used the purple Strong Grip Mat.

Press the gold foil iron on onto the cones. Then press the glitter vinyl onto the top of the cones.

Now slide the keychain ring over the ice cream cone to the center of the design. Add Aileene’s Tacky Glue to one side of the scoop and cone. Fold the other side over, keeping the keychain ring in the center of the two sides, and firmly attach. Let the glue dry before adding tassel.

Put each tassel on a jump ring and attach to the keychain ring.

Aren’t these just the cutest keychains ever!!!
