DIY Bridal Party Earrings

Are you or do you know someone who is getting married? Do you want to learn how to make DIY Bridal Party Earrings for the occasion? I know a lot of couples have had to postpone their wedding this year because of the pandemic. But that’s not stopping some people from celebrating with a virtual bachelorette party and other celebrations.

I got the idea for these from Amy Romeau. You can check out her blog post on these here.

Project Instructions

You can get the cut file for these earrings at the bottom of this post.

Place faux leather face down on a Cricut Strong Grip Mat. Place painters tape around the edges to secure it. Cut using the Fine Point Blade. Use the Faux Leather (Paper Thin) setting.

Back side of faux leather earrings.

Front side of the faux leather earrings.

Use Cricut Strong Grip Transfer Tape to secure the Glitter Faux Leather in place. It will help keep the bits of glitter off the mat during cutting.

Here you can see the Strong Grip Transfer Tape under the Glitter Faux Leather.

Cover edges with painters tape.

Here’s what the Transfer Tape looks like after cutting out the earrings and removing the excess Glitter Faux Leather. All that glitter on the Transfer Tape would have been all over your mat.

Bottom layer of earrings.

Be sure to mirror all text before cutting.

Using the Easy Press Mini, the Easy Press Mat and the Cricut Heat Press Guide, adhere the words onto the top earring layer (faux leather). When pressing the white Faux Leather for the Bride earrings, I had to press very lightly for short periods of time.
