Thanksgiving Turkey Name Place Card

I made this Thanksgiving Turkey Name Place Card for you to decorate your table with this year. That way everyone can know where you want them to sit. It makes life so much easier during a super busy time.

The original idea for this came from Melody Lane of Melody Lane Designs. She has a Patreon Group that you can join to get her design file. Here’s her YouTube video on how she made hers.

I created my own design since I don’t belong to her Patreon Group. I made mine a little different and a little bit bigger than hers, and I thinks it’s just as cute.

Supplies Needed For This Project

Cricut Maker or Explore Air 2

Standard Grip Mat

Cricut Scoring Wheel or Scoring Stylus

Cricut Tools

Red Cardstock

Orange Cardstock

Yellow Cardstock

Brown Cardstock

Black Cardstock

Black Cricut Pen

Googly Eyes

Liquid Adhesive

How To Make The Turkey

I cut everything out on my Cricut Maker. The Cricut Maker also wrote my name on the bottom part of the turkey with the black Cricut pen.

I cut out the back tail layers in three different sizes and colors.

You can see the scoring lines where each piece will be folded accordion style. There are three pieces for each color. Glue each color together for one continuous piece per color. There will be three separate pieces for the tail. One red, one orange and one yellow.

Using the hot glue gun, attach the yellow accordian piece to the front of the brown oval in a perpendicular manner. (I made the oval bigger than what’s pictured here.). Then do the same for the orange and the red accordian folds. The oval may be a little bigger than you need.

Next, glue the front of the turkey to the red scalloped piece with liquid adhesive. Attach the hat, wings, gobbler and nose.

Add the googly eyes and you are done!!

Wasn’t that fun. How many will you make for your Thanksgiving dinner this year. Leave a comment below with the number of guest you will be making these for.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Until next time.

Kathy

This is so cute. Reminds me of the crafts my grandmother, who was a teacher, did with me as a child.
