Project 1: Easter Bunny Ears Cupcake Toppers
These cute bunny ears toppers add a whimsical touch to your Easter cupcakes. Here’s how to make them:
Step 1: Design in Cricut Design Space
- Open Cricut Design Space and upload bunny ears design. I found the ears in Cricut Design space and added a small rectangle at the bottom so I would have a place to put the leaves and flowers.
- Adjust the size to fit your cupcakes (about 2–3 inches tall).
- Cut the bunny ears and the flowers and leaves out on your Cricut.
- Add a backing shape for stability if needed. I didn’t do this.
Step 2: Cutting the Cardstock
- Place your colored cardstock on the Standard Grip cutting mat.
- Load the mat into your Cricut machine and let it cut the bunny ear shapes, rosettes and leaves.
- If you want a layered look, cut the inner ear shapes in a lighter shade.
Step 3: Assembling the Toppers
- Attach the inner ear pieces to the larger bunny ears base using adhesive.
- Roll the rosettes into flowers, adding hot glue to the bottom of the flower to keep its shape.
- Glue flowers and leaves on the bottom area of the ears.
- Glue the assembled ears to a toothpick.
- Let them dry before inserting them into your cupcakes.
Your adorable bunny ear cupcake toppers are now ready to hop into your Easter celebration!
Project 2: Happy Easter Alphabet Boxes
You can purchase the cake topper and cupcake toppers in my store if you don’t want to or don’t have time to make them. K Peck’s Party Cafe
These alphabet boxes create a stunning Easter display, perfect for mantels, tables, or party setups. They spell out Happy Easter in a 3D format, making them a standout piece of decor.
Step 1: Creating the Box Design
- In Cricut Design Space, upload files and cut out on your Cricut.
- I didn’t resize the colored boxes, but I did have to make the white boxes just a tad bigger.
Step 2: Cutting the Cardstock
- Load the 12×12 colored cardstock (Encore collection) onto your mat and cut out the inside boxes.
- Use white cardstock for the outer letter boxes and cut them separately.
Step 3: Assembling the Word Boxes
- Fold along the score lines and assemble the colored cardstock into cube-shaped boxes using liquid adhesive.
- Repeat the process for the white letter boxes.
- Place the colored boxes inside the white boxes and glue shut.
Now, you have a stunning Happy Easter word display that can be used as a table centerpiece or home decor!
Final Touches & Display Ideas
- Arrange the alphabet boxes on a dessert table with your Easter treats.
- Use pastel colors to keep the aesthetic soft and festive.
- Combine with other DIY Cricut decorations like banners or place cards for a cohesive Easter theme.
These two projects are a fantastic way to use your Cricut for holiday crafting, adding a handmade and personalized feel to your Easter celebrations. Give them a try and let me know how yours turn out!
Happy crafting, and Happy Easter!
